Progress report ;)

Good morning!

It’s a foggy, yet fairly warm, Saturday morning here in south Georgia. I have Magnolia Grove “resting” for a while before I go back and reread and do some edits.

I’m back working on Taunted Dreams. I worked a good 14 hours yesterday. I’d gotten several chapters redone when I realized something was messed up with the formatting on the newer copy I was using and the older version I was using to rework and rewrite by. I tried copy/paste into a new document, but the bad formatting transferred, as well. So, I started retyping the entire thing. Again.

I am now  close to 5000 words on the retyping, and on the third chapter. So far, so good.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

P.S. Way to go Indians! Dome bound!

As 2014 Comes to a Close….

It’s hard to believe the holidays are upon us. Thanksgiving has come and gone.

It hasn’t been a good year, nor was 2013. There has been a lot of heartache, stress, pain….a lot of struggles. Loss. I’m glad it’s almost over.

I’ve had to fight just to keep my sanity, and, at times, wasn’t sure if I was doing a good job at holding on. I’m a strong person, but the trials I’ve been through have really tested my strength. They almost broke me. I’ve always heard that God doesn’t put more on us than we can handle. But, I’ve questioned this a few times over the course of the past two years.

In ways, I’m still mending. But, I’m getting there. And, I have a strong feeling that 2015 is going to be a really good year. I’m looking forward to it. I need it.

I most likely won’t finish and publish Magnolia Grove before the end of the year. I hate that I’ve basically lost a year. But, I have managed to write the manuscript, and I’m in the process of editing it. I am going to try to have it ready and published by the first of the year.

Taunted Dreams has been rearing its head lately, begging me to get the plot/story together and start writing it again. I am trying to finish editing MG first, so there is a conflict going on inside my head. 😉 I hope to get it published this coming year, as well.

I need to learn how some of these authors manage to publish two books a year. I also need to learn more about promotion, marketing, etc. Having time for it all is tough for me. I work slow, read slow…Okay, so I guess I need to learn how to work faster.

Here’s wishing us all a blessed Christmas and rest of year, and a wonderful, joyful, successful 2015!
